How people make it in the legal marijuana industry explained by Humboldt Seed Company’s Nathaniel Pennington.
We covered how to get started in the legal cannabis business, weed business 101, and the many challenges that come with the legal marijuana industry. The Humboldt Seed Company’s founder Nathaniel Pennington explains how normal can people make it in the legal weed business and if marijuana legalization is inevitable In The US.
We also discussed what it’s like running a marijuana seed and farming business in Humboldt County, the highs and lows of the weed business, and if California's legal weed is so heavily taxed and regulated that the black market might survive.
Personally, I don’t use cannabis at the moment but have become increasingly uncomfortable with headlines like “Why This Man Served 32 Years in Prison for Weed”, “Teen Faces Life Sentence for Pot Brownies” and “Man Who Was Sentenced To Life In Prison for Selling $30 Of Marijuana” just to name a few. I asked Nathaniel Pennington for the truth about the people in jail for marijuana possession. Regardless of your personal use of the plant, someone in jail as we speak from weed while corporations are making millions is tragic. Frankly, it's sad and embarrassing to see.
The Humboldt Seed Company is on a mission to provide high-quality cannabis seeds to customers who want to grow their own cannabis plants. Founded in 2001 by biologists in Humboldt County, CA, we began breeding for patients under Prop 215. We have since evolved for the recreational market. The whole point is that we only keep the very best of the best. You can find more info on The Humboldt Seed Company and Nathaniel Pennington here: https://humboldtseedcompany.com/
